Currency Kazakhstan

The currency of Kazakhstan is the Kazakh Tenge, with one Tenge equalling 100 Tiyin. Notes come in denominations of T5000, 2000, 1000, 500, 200, 100, 50, 20, 10, 5, 2 and 1, and 20, 10, 5, 3 and 1 Tiyin. Coins come in denominations of T100, 50, 20, 10 and 1.

In Kazakhstan it is possible to exchange currency in the exchange centres available the licence (USD – US dollar, EUR – Euro, RUR – the Russian rouble, KGS – the Kirghiz som, CNY – the Chinese yuan, GBP – English pound, CHF – the Swiss franc, UZS – Uzbek sum, JPY – the Japanese Yen).

ATMs are available, and the majority of major international credit and debit cards are accepted in larger hotels, shops and restaurants (Visa, MasterCard).  The import and export of domestic currency is unlimited, as is the import of foreign currency. The export of foreign currency is limited to the amount declared on import, though more can be taken out with special permission from the bank.

The assortment of food groceries was changed slightly. During its long history Kazakhstan people gathered a huge experience in cooking dishes from meat and milk. And modern times filled it with a large range of vegetables, fruit, fish, sea stuff, baked, flour dishes and confectionery.
